Ben & Claire's Highfield Park Wedding
Here is a little look at Ben and Claire's Highfield Park Wedding from last Saturday.
I joined Claire, her mum Stephanie and the bridesmaids Joanne, Jade Ana and Vicky for some bridal preparation photography before Ben and the guys arrived.
The ceremony was beautiful and the couple were relaxed and very happy and the love between them was obvious for everyone to witness. The drinks reception afterwards was a chance for everyone to wish Ben and Claire well in their future together and you could sense a real party atmosphere.
I then took the couple away for a more intimate photoshoot in the beautiful grounds away from the main wedding party. Highfield Park is quite unique having a lovely old stone folly. It was too good an opportunity to miss to use this feature for some portrait shots of them together.
After some family photographs the couple sat down for the wedding breakfast and the time honoured speeches. Normally this can be a nervous time for those involved but I didn't detect any problems on that front and Ben in particular looked very relaxed.
Finally the evening began with the traditional cutting of the cake before the happy couple had the first dance to the very fitting "Stand By Me" by Ben E King.
The weather had threatened all day to spoil things and reports of torrential downpours in the area was rather worrying. Amazingly Highfield Park missed all of this potential wet weather and God smiled down on the Happy Couple.
