Steve & Emi's Hampshire Wedding at the Wellington Arms Hotel
Last weekend we headed to the Wellington Arms Hotel in Hampshire for the wedding of Steve and Emi. It was set to be quite an emotional day particularly as Emi had tragically lost her mum 4 weeks earlier.
The day started at Jan and Keith's house (the grooms Mum & Dad) where the bride and her bridesmaids were preparing for the day ahead. Champagne was the order of the morning followed up with a great deal of excitement particularly on the part of the young flower girls who simply couldn't wait to get into their dresses.
After an hour or so we left for the venue where we were greeted by the excellent staff at the hotel who would be running the wedding formalities.
Emi's side of the family are mainly Turkish and many had already arrived and were checking in to the hotel. The hotel had a real party atmosphere and as the sun came out we could tell it was going to be a great wedding.
There were plenty of tears of happiness throughout the service and immediately after the ceremony it was clear to see how happy Steve and Emi's friends and family were that they had become husband and wife.
After the ceremony a drinks reception was held in another part of the hotel which extended out onto the patio area where family and guests had a chance to toast the Bride and Groom.
After some formal photographs on the lawn the wedding party moved to the Hampshire Suite for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The short multimedia presentation of the grooms antics on the stag was hilarious, but left Steve slightly embarrassed in front of Mum and Dad!!
The evening reception and disco had a unique dancefloor which scrolled the bride and groom's names in LED lights. The children seemed to really enjoy this impressive light show.
A big thank you to Steve and Emi for asking me to photograph their wedding at the Wellington Arms Hotel and thanks to the management and staff at the Hotel for a warm and friendly welcome.
Below is a small selection of images from the day.
